SPS Opportunities FAQ

  • Thank you for considering joining our team!

We believe training is a developmental process, and our approach reflects that belief. All trainees and early-career clinicians are supported through a structured, scaffolded model of growth:

    • Start with less complex cases and clearly defined roles

    • Gradually progress to more complex clinical presentations and differential diagnostic work

    • Receive intentional, developmentally appropriate supervision at each stage

    • Build confidence, autonomy, and clinical judgment over time

  • Supervision is central to everything we do:

    • Early stages may include structured supervision, such as:

      • Direct observation

      • Video review

      • Guided feedback and modeling

    • As competence increases, supervision becomes less directive, allowing for:

      • Increased independence

      • Advanced clinical reasoning

      • Leadership and consultation skills

    Supervision Includes:

    • Individual supervision

    • Group supervision

    • Didactic trainings and case conferences

    • Access to continuing education, trainings, and guidance to certifications

    • Board-informed decision-making (e.g., licensure and ethical standards)

    • Alignment with professional guidelines and regulatory expectations (e.g., APA)

  • Practicum, Internship, and Extern Students:

Designed for graduate-level students seeking foundational clinical experience.

    What to Expect:

    • Structured onboarding and orientation

    • Gradual caseload progression, building to more complex case conceptualization

    • Individual and group supervision

    • Exposure to assessment, (individual, group, couples) therapy, documentation, and ethical decision-making across a wide range of presentations

    • Didactic trainings and case consultation
